Malgana Aboriginal Corporation (MAC)
The Malgana Aboriginal Corporation (MAC) represents the Malgana Peoples and works to preserve their culture and heritage. The GAT Project supports conservation and values MAC’s guidance.
Elders / Cultural Advisors
The Malgana Elders and Cultural Advisors play a vital role in providing cultural knowledge and advice to guide the GAT Project in a way that aligns with the values and traditions of the Malgana Peoples.
Malgana Rangers and Catchers
The Malgana Rangers, part of MAC’s Aboriginal Ranger Program, play a key role in the GAT Project. Based in Denham, they combine conservation work with cultural heritage, contributing significantly to GAT’s field expeditions.
We are deeply grateful to the Malgana Peoples for granting us permission to conduct the Gathaagudu Animal Tracking (GAT) Project in Gathaagudu/Shark Bay.
